Not enough time.

I had about 40 minutes between work and getting to dinner. So much for a 5-6 mile run. I managed to turn it around though for a quick run to the beach in the dark. I threw on my brightest lulu tank, flashing light and took off. 

I didn't get that cray over a 2 mile run.I just wore the day glo
tank and one flashing light. I just like reminiscing about Ragnar! 

Felt great with no knee pain. I ran in my Brooks, but really prefer the lighter shoes for the shorter, faster runs. Regardless, I would have loved a little more time to run. I didn't have any music, it was dark, and the streets were basically empty. It was good time to think about my breathing, foot plant, and effort. I love the peaceful, quiet runs just after sunset. Just too bad i couldn't fit a few more miles in. 

Despite cutting my workout short, we were headed to one of my favorite sushi restaurants, Sushi One. I really can't complain. 

I think I have made the final decision to run the Naples Half on Sunday. I may just pace my mom, but it will be fun and I would really (really!) hate to miss it! In fact, I am currently putting together my list of 1/2 marathons in the state of Florida for 2013. Thirteen 1/2 marathons aren't going to run themselves.
