Strawberry Salad

Here in Florida, strawberry season has started. One of my favorite childhood memories is picking (and eating) strawberries out of the fields near our house. I love strawberries and have been eating them everyday for breakfast for the past few weeks. (and for dessert... will get to that in a few)
Saturday night we went over to a friend's house to watch the Gators dominate Mississippi State and have a little potluck dinner. We had a blast catching up and watching another Gator win. This is the strawberry & arugula salad I made.

Arugula Strawberry Salad with Lemon Basil Dressing

1 bag Arugula
1 1/2 c sliced strawberries
1/4 c sliced almonds
1/4 c goat cheese

Put all ingredients into a bowl and toss with dressing

Dressing: (all estimations, I really just whisk it all together and taste it until I like it...)

1 tbs fresh basil, chopped
1/4 c fresh lemon juice
1-2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 tbs lemon zest
1/2 tsp honey
salt and pepper to taste

If you want a dessert to rock your face off,  here you go. Take 1-2 tablespoons of Nutella or Cocoa Almond Spread from Trader Joe's and put it in a bowl. Microwave for about 30 seconds, until it gets semi-liquified. Mix in a cup or two of sliced strawberries to coat and eat while hot.
Mind, blown.
