Which Race to Run!?

Miles today: 4.07 miles
Miles yesterday: 5.0 miles, AM, 2.22 miles, PM
Miles Wednesday: yoga
Miles in 2014: 197.86  miles

This week has flown by! I had the opportunity to log some wonderful miles with my Mom in the early mornings, which has made my easy runs about 100 time better. Last night I tried to get in the rest of my mileage after work, but missed the sunset and almost yakked in public. Decided to call it in a little early. Some days it just isn't meant to be.
This weekend is an amazing weekend for running in Florida. Three huge events to race and have a blast at. I am sad I can't be at all of them!!!

First up:
Gasparilla! I ran the half last year and it was a great race!!

Super well supported and a gorgeous course along Bayshore Drive in Tampa, Florida. There is also a 5K, 15K, and 8K. Or you can do all of them for the Michelob Ultra Challenge. Good luck to one of my favorite people who will be running her first 15K tomorrow!!!

#2:
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend! This is Disney's sold out weekend of running, tutus, and tiaras. The 5K was this morning, but there is also a 10K and half marathon, or you can do the Glass Slipper Challenge by running the 10K and half. I have never done this one, but hear that it is a blast and a great first timer race. This year is completely sold out, but you can always start planning for next year. I know two girls who finished this morning - huge congrats to April and Amy!!

#3:
Everglades Ultra Weekend! So I desperately wanted to run this trail 50K this weekend. Fortunately, and unfortunately, life has intervened. The Everglades Ultra has options of a 50 miler, 50K, and 25K races. Registration is limited to 300. The trail race is out of Copeland, Florida, right by Everglades City at the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park. We had a bunch of friends run the 25 and 50Ks last year and loved it. The Everglades and Everglades City have special places in my heart and this race is on my must do list. Beers and burgers at the finish doesn't hurt either! Good luck to everyone heading out there this weekend!!!

Instead of racing, we are lucky enough to get to watch two amazing people get married on the beach in the islands. I know, tough life. There will be some cool running involved in the weekend, but no racing. If you are racing, good luck, kick ass, and send me some pics!

Happy Friday!!!
